Di and Ian Haggerty are co-founders of Natural Intelligence Farming, and owners and managers of Prospect Pastoral, a sheep and cropping enterprise in the Central Wheatbelt region of Western Australia.
Di and Ian recognise that the only constant in farming is change. Every day they observe interactions between the landscape’s ecosystems, and make responsive decisions, based on their observations and intuitions, to bring themselves and ecological systems into synchronicity.
On their 26,000 hectares of land, the Haggertys produce wool, lamb and grains of exceptional quality on some of the most challenging soils across the globe. Sustainable global fashion labels seek out their Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) and Nativa certified wool, and local bakeries are proud to use their flavourful living grain.

A digital ecological token is a way that certified ecological improvement can be packaged and sold in the financial markets, just like other commodities that are grown on a farm. Obviously we can't sell the soil, air and water because they need to stay in place. What we can do is recognise how valuable they are and create a digital token that allows people to purchase verified, certified, ecological condition improvement without needing to own the land or elements of nature where the improvement has taken place.
